Big Cass is back in WWE following his return on Raw.
Cass made his return on the August 3 episode of the show following the opening match, which saw Je’Von Evans defeat Ethan Page. As Evans was celebrating on the top rope, Cass made his way into the ring. Cass hit Evans with a big boot and a clothesline. The returning star then hit an East River Crossing onto Evans to bring the beatdown to an end.
Cass’ return was teased ahead of time by the company. Vignettes showed clips of Cass with the number 8/3 flashing up at the end, indicating that the August 3 Raw was the return date for the 7-footer.
There was no sign or indication that Enzo would be joining Cass, meaning that there are no signs of reuniting the tag team at this time.
Big Cass Back On Raw
This was the first time in 8 years that Cass has been seen inside a WWE ring. Best known for his time in the tag team with Enzo Amore, the duo were one of the most popular acts in the company in 2016. Following the break-up of the team, Cass went on a brief solo run before being released by the company in 2018.
Following his departure, Cass had runs on the independents and TNA before signing with AEW. Competing under the name Big Bill, Cass won the Tag Team Championships with Ricky Starks, who is now in WWE as Ricky Saints.
