Rounding out a weekend of action at SummerSlam, the August 3 WWE Raw focused on the big events from the Premium Live Event.
The main event of SummerSlam Sunday saw Roman Reigns defeat Seth Rollins to retain the World Heavyweight Championship, finally beating his Shield ally in a major match. The OTC appeared live on Raw to address what’s next for him in WWE.
Also at SummerSlam, Chad Gable won the Intercontinental Championship and Liv Morgan retained the Women’s World Championship. Both champions appeared live on the show.
Michael Cole and Cory Graves were on commentary for the show.
WWE Raw Results August 3:
- Following a recap of SummerSlam Sunday, Roman Reigns officially kicked off the show. The World Champion said that he did wht he promised to do at WrestleMania and at SummerSlam. Reigns was cut off by LA Knight, who reminded The OTC of their history. Knight threatened to “smack Reigns back to factory settings” before leaving. Reigns was seething at Knight at the end of the segment.
- Je’Von Evans defeated Ethan Page. Big Cass made his return after the match to attack Evans.
- Liv Morgan celebrated her win at SummerSlam. Sol Ruca interrupted to set up a match with Roxanne Perez later in the night.
- Sol Ruca defeated Roxanne Perez via DQ when The Judgment Day got involved. Becky Lynch returned and saved Ruca, making her claim to Morgan’s title. Stephanie Vaquer also returned and is looking to get her title back.
- Oba Femi appeared live to speak about his victory over Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Bron Breakker interrupted Femi, leading to a staredown between the two.
- Bron Breakker defeated Joe Hendry. Austin Theory attacked Hendry after the match until Akira Tozawa made the save.
- Chad Gable and Penta defeated Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh.
- Jacob Fatu defeated Royce Keys in a street fight. Roman Reigns acknowledged Fatu after the bell. Rey Mysterio then spoke with Roman Reigns, reminding the OTC that he is the General Manager of AAA. Both men shook hands to close the show.
