Enzo Amore is reportedly back in WWE after re-signing with the company.
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, “There are people backstage who believe Amore signed a new deal with WWE over the last week.” It is also believed that Amore will be heading to NXT.
Amore has been heavily rumoured to make a WWE return following Big Cass re-signing with the company back in August. In October, WrestleVotes reported that WWE creative felt the audience was waiting for Enzo Amore, and that Big Cass’ creative was being hampered as a result of this. If Amore does go to NXT, it appears that there are no plans to reunite the tag team anytime soon. Cass has aligned himself with Ethan Page on Raw, who recently won the Intercontinental Championship.
Enzo Amore In WWE
Following their time in NXT, Enzo and Cass were called up to the main roster in 2016. The duo quickly became one of the most popular acts on the roster and were featured in storylines alongside the likes of John Cena, AJ Styles and Chris Jericho.
The duo split when it was revealed that Cass attacked Enzo. Amore then won the Cruiserweight Championship and was a part of the 205 Live brand. Amore was released in 2018 after allegations of sexual assault emerged, which Amore denied. The investigation was eventually ceased due to lack of evidence.
Amore also created a buzz in 2018 when he attended Survivor Series while not under contract. Amore was initially disguised, but was ejected from the arena when he revealed his identity.
