Kota Ibushi made his return to action after more than a year away, and more took place on the June 25 AEW Dynamite.

Last competing on Dynamite back in 2023, Kota Ibushi faced Trent Beretta after making his surprise return on the previous episode of Collision. Following Don Callis mocking Kazuchika Okada’s attack on Kenny Omega, Ibushi and Mark Briscoe interrupted the group and stood tall.

With the Men’s and Women’s Gauntlet matches announced for All In, 2 4-way matches took place to determine the number one entrants in the match.

Excalibur, Ian Riccaboni and Taz were on commentary for the show.

AEW Dynamite Results June 25:

  • Mercedes Mone attacked Toni Storm backstage to kick off the show. Mone dragged Storm out to the stage and locked in the statement maker until Mina Shiakawa made the save.
  • Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland defeated Blake Christian and Lee Johnson. After the match, Ospreay and Strickland challenged The Young Bucks to a match at All In where their titles as EVPs were on the line.
  • Kota Ibushi defeated Trent Beretta. Kazuchika Okada interrupted the celebration and it was announced that Ibushi vs. Okada would take place next week.
  • Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight defeated Ricochet and AR Fox. The winners challenged The Hurt Syndicate for a tag title match, but were put through a table by the champions. MVP stated that if they could still walk then Bailey and Knight could get their match. MJF also stated that he would enter the Casino Gauntlet and would win back his World Championship.
  • Mark Briscoe defeated Roderick Strong, Bandido and Konosuke Takeshita to qualify for the Casino Gauntlet at All In.
  • Kris Statlander defeated Thunder Rosa, Willow Nightingale and Athena to qualify for the Casino Gauntlet at All In.
  • Adam Page defeated The Beast Mortos. The lights went out after the match and The Young Bucks hit Page with the EVP trigger.The Deathriders arrived and continued the beatdown before The Opps and Will Ospreay made the save.
