Kota Ibushi Makes Shock Return At AEW Collision, Next Match Confirmed

After more than a year away from AEW, Kota Ibushi has made his return to the promotion and will be in action in a few days time.

On the June 21 episode of AEW Collision, Don Callis, Lance Archer and Josh Alexander first appeared live before Callis introduced Okada as the newest member of the family. Looking back at Okada’s assault on Kenny Omega, Callis made light of the attack and stated that Omega had no friends ahead of his match with Okada at All In: Texas.

Mark Briscoe interrupted and stated that he was Omega’s friend before introducing a returning Ibushi. Both Bricoe and Ibushi took out the family to stand tall, closing out with Ibushi taking out Okada. It was later announced that Ibushi would be in action on the June 25th episode of Dynamite against an opponent to be determined.

A legend of New Japn, Ibushi, 43, is a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion mong his many accolades. Previously teaming with Omega, collectively known as The Golden Lovers, the duo previously captured the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.
