Kenny Omega had a major announcement, Adam Copeland defended the TNT Title and more on AEW Dynamite.
Following the attack by The Elite on Kenny Omega on the May 1st episode, Omega made a major announcement that affects the next pay-per-view, Double or Nothing on May 26th. Additionally, with The Best Friends recently imploding, Trent Beretta and Orange Cassidy faced off on the show.
The Following Results Took Place On AEW Dynamite:
- Adam Copeland appeared backstage and said that his title defence against Brody King would be a no disqualification match
- Orange Cassidy defeated Trent Beretta
- Kenny Omega appeared via hospital bed and announced that Anarchy in the Arena would return at Double or Nothing. The teams will be The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry vs. FTR and two more names to be confirmed
- Serena Deeb gave an interview before being interrupted by Toni Storm. Deeb knocked out Storm
- Mariah May defeated Harley Cameron
- Swerve Strickland called out Christian Cage who came to the ring with the Patriarchy. As it appeared that Strickland had backup with Brian Cage, Kaun and Toa Liona, Strickland’s own men attacked him and put the World Champion through the announce table
- Jay White defeated Rocky Romero
- Chri Jericho and Big Bill defeated two enhancement talents
- Adam Copeland defeated Brody King to retain the TNT Championship. King attacked Copeland after the bell but Kyle O’Reilly made the save.
- The Elite appeared in the main event segment and said that the show isn’t over until they say it’s over. FTR interrupted and introduced their partners for Anarchy in the Arena, Eddie Kingston and Bryan Danielson.
