AEW Announcer Taz To Miss UK Taping And Forbidden Door

AEW commentator Taz has let the fans know that he won’t be making the trip over to the UK as part of the upcoming events set to take place in the country.

For the second consecutive year, All Elite Wrestling will present a Dynamite and Collision taping in the country on Wednesday ahead of its London pay-per-view the following Sunday. For 2025, the August 20 Dynamite taping will take place in Glasgow, Scotland and Forbidden Door will air live from the O2 Arena in London on August 24, continuing the tradition of a UK show being held over bank holiday weekend.

Taking to social media to provide the fans with an update, Taz provided the update that he would be off commentary this week, as long flights don’t mix well with his knee after recently undergoing replacement surgery:

I will be off this week, a combo of doctors appointments/imaging test on a couple of future surgeries, some R&R & most importantly my new knee does not cooperate to well w/very long flights at the moment.
Hope u all enjoy #AEWDynamite & #ForbiddenDoor !

Taz Not On Commentary For AEW Dynamite Or Forbidden Door

Following the update from Taz it is likely that 2 announcers will not be calling the action at the UK pay-per-view. The other announcer who looks set to be away from the desk for a different reason is Nigel McGuinness, who is set to challenge fellow Brit and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. for the title. Additionally, veteran announcer Jim Ross has confirmed that he will be in the UK for the show.
