Jim Ross Addresses Status For AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door In London

Jim Ross has confirmed that he will be making the trip across the pond for AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door in London, England later in the year.

Speaking about his status for the event later in the month, the legendary announcer stated on his Grilling JR podcast that he would be making the trip to call a couple of the matches at the show:

“Found out this week that, via my communication with Tony Khan, that he wants me to be in London at The O2 to call a couple matches,” Ross confirmed. “I’m going to London and that’s a hell of a building.”

While not confirmed, it is likely that the Hall of Famer will be calling the final matches on the show, as has been the case with previous appearances. Ross also spoke highly of the O2 Arena in London, comparing it to the city’s version of Madison Square Garden in New York.

Ross, 73, has battled a number of health issues over the past few months, undergoing surgery to remove cancer back in June. The AEW announcer made his return to the broadcast booth at All In: Texas to call the action for the final few matches, including Adam Page’s triumph over Jon Moxley in the brutal Texas death match that saw “Hangman” defeat Mox to become the new World Champion.
