Pat McAfee Makes WWE Return At WrestleMania

Pat McAfee was a surprise guest on night one of WrestleMania, winning an unannounced match upon the return.

Shortly before the main event, WrestleMania hosts The Miz and Snoop Dogg were in the ring to announce the attendance at SoFi Stadium, which was revealed to be 80,497. Snoop Dogg would mention that while that was impressive, what would be even better would be if The Miz were to have a match.

The former WWE Champion stated that he put out an open challenge across all social media platforms, but no one was brave enough to answer. The music of Pat McAfee would play, bringing out the former SmackDown commentator.

McAfee responded to The Miz, stating that The A Lister’s open challenge can not be found online, so accepted the challenge in-person. While The Miz first refused, Snoop Dogg stated that he has the power to make the match official.

With the help of San Francisco 49ers George Kittle, McAfee would punt the head of the WrestleMania 27 main eventer to pick up the victory.

This is the second appearance by McAfee on WWE TV in 2023. The former NFL kicker would first appear unannounced to provide commentary at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. Much like the January appearance, this return was unknown to full time commentator Michael Cole, who could not contain his excitement when the music hit.
