Roman Reigns’ next title defence has been officially announced.
The Tribal Chief will put the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line against Sami Zayn at the Premium Live Event, which takes place in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal.
The ending of the Royal Rumble would see Zayn turn on Reigns, striking the head of the table with a steel chair. This would lead to Zayn also being assaulted by The Bloodline, laying unconscious in the ring as the show went off of the air.
On the February 3rd edition of SmackDown, Roman Reigns addressed the status of The Bloodline. Sami Zayn would then launch an attack from behind on Reigns, but Reigns would then take control.
As Reigns went to strike Zayn with a chair, Zayn hit Reigns with a spear. The former Honorary Uce attempted to strike The Tribal Chief with a chair, but Reigns bailed out of the ring. Sami Zayn then challenged Reigns for the title at Elimination Chamber.
The Bloodline would then attack Zayn from behind, with Reigns accepting the challenge after the beatdown. The match has been made official, with the winner going to on defend the title against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania.
The updated line-up for Elimination Chamber is as follows:
- Roman Reigns (c) vs. Sami Zayn – Singles match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship
- Austin Theory (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Bronson Reed vs. Johnny Gargano Vs. 2 more TBC – Elimination Chamber match for the Unites States Championship
- Nikki Cross vs. Asuka vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Liv Morgan vs. vs. Natalya vs. 1 more TBC – Elimination Chamber match. The winner will face the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.
