WWE Backlash 2024 results.

WWE Backlash aired live from Lyon, France on Saturday, May 4th.

For the first time ever, WWE presented a Premium Live Event in the European country and continues to host events outside of North America in 2024. Following on from his monumental victory at WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes defends the Undisputed Championship for the first time on TV as he put the title on the line against AJ Styles. Both World Championships are on the line at Backlash as Damian Priest defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso.

A major in-ring debut also took place on the show. Following on from Tama Tonga’s shock arrival on the SmackDown after WrestleMania, the newest addition to The Bloodline teamed with Solo Sikoa to take on Randy Orton and Kevin Owens.

11,682 fans were announced to be in attendance at the LDLC Arena.

The Following Results Took Place At WWE Backlash:

  • Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga defeated Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in a street fight. Tanga Loa made his shock return in the match.
  • Bayley defeated Naomi and Tiffany Stratton to retain the WWE Women’s Championship
  • Damian Priest defeated Jey Uso to retain the World Heavyweight Championship
  • Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair defeated Asuka and Kairi Sane to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions
  • Cody Rhodes defeated AJ Styles to retain the Undisputed Championship.
