Tony Khan States that Coming To TV Is Voluntary For Talent For 28/9/22 Dynamite Due To Hurricane Ian

All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan has sent out an email to all AEW employees regarding Hurricane Ian, which is due to hit the United States on Wednesday September 28th. The email states that no one is being forced to attend the Dynamite and Rampage tapings in Philadelphia.

In case any talent did not receive the email, Khan released a statement on social media. In the post, Tony Khan has said that if anyone is concerned about Hurricane Ian affecting their home, travel or family life, all participation regarding working the TV tapings will be strictly voluntary.

It is believed that the state of Florida will be the worst affected by Hurricane Ian, with Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis telling Florida residents to prepare for a “Major Disaster” as a result of the category 2 hurricane.

While the card is subject to change due to Hurricane Ian, the current card for AEW Dynamite is as follows:

  • Jon Moxley vs. Juice Robinson – World Title Eliminator match
  • Saraya to speak
  • MJF to speak
  • Chris Jericho Championship celebration
  • Chris Jericho (c) vs. Bandido – Singles match for the Ring of Honor World Championship.
