The September 27th edition of NXT will see another qualifying match for the North American Championship ladder match and a Pub Rules match take place.
Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen recently had an altercation with Gallus, which resulted in each team being separated by security. It has been announced that the teams will fight on NXT in what is being presented as a Pub Rules match.
On September 20th, Solo Sikoa relinquished the North American Championship, with it being announced shortly afterwards that a new champion would be crowned in a ladder match at Halloween Havoc. Currently, former champion Carmelo Hayes and Oro Mensah have currently qualified. On NXT, a match between Wes Lee and Tony D’Angelo will determine the next competitor in the ladder match.
Fallon Henley was offended by the comments made by NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose regarding Brooks Jensen. Because of the comments made, Henley will face Rose in a non-title match on NXT.
The team of Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark are back at 100% following an injury sustained by Stark. Lyons and Stark have their sights set on the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships, but current title holders Kayden Carter and Katana Chance want to prove they are still the number one tag team on the roster. Lyons and Carter will clash on NXT.
The following matches will be taking place on NXT:
- Wes Lee vs. Tony D’Angelo – Qualifying match for the North American Championship Ladder match.
- Brutus Creed vs. Damon Kemp
- Nikkita Lyons vs. Kayden Carter
