Ronda Rousey will face Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38.
Rousey made the decision on the February 4th edition of Friday Night SmackDown in the main event segment of the show. Ronda Rousey made a surprise return to WWE at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, and went on to win the match of the same name, giving Rousey a match at WrestleMania against a champion of her choosing.
As seen on SmackDown, Rousey confronted Flair in the ring and said that they would meet at WrestleMania, making the match official. The Rowdy One then tried to attack Flair, but was stopped by Sonya Deville. The former UFC Champion would then proceed to slam the WWE Official to the mat and would lock in an armbar as SmackDown would go off the air.
Two matches have now been made official for The Most Stupendous 2 Night WrestleMania in history, as Men’s Royal Rumble winner Brock Lesnar will be challenging the winner of the match between Universal Champion Roman Reigns and challenger Goldberg. At the time of writing, it is unknown which matches will take place on which nights. However, it is widely assumed that each of the announced matches will headline each of the nights.
