WWE Raw Preview 3/1/22

WWE Raw Preview 3/1/22

The first episode of Raw of 2022 will be broadcast live from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. This will be the first edition of WWE’s flagship show since the Day 1 pay-per-view, which took place on January 1st.

At the time of writing, no matches or segments have been officially announced to take place. However, it is expected that the fallout of Day 1 will be taking place. The biggest story coming out of the Day 1 pay-per-view is that a new WWE Champion was crowned. Due to Roman Reigns testing positive for COVID-19, Brock Lesnar did not challenge for the Universal Championship. Instead, The Beast was inserted into the WWE Championship match and the contest was made into a Fatal 5-Way. Lesnar would go onto to win the match and is the new WWE Champion. According to the events page, Brock Lesnar is not advertised for the January 3rd Raw.

Also on Raw, expect the rivalry between Edge and The Miz to continue. At Day 1, The Rated R Superstar and The A Lister faced off in a singles match. The contest saw The Miz’s wife Maryse frequently get involved and distract Edge. The end of the match saw the return of Edge’s wife, Beth Phoenix, to even the odds and chase Maryse from ringside. Edge would go on to win the match. Once again, it should be noted that neither Edge or Beth Phoenix have been advertised for this edition of Raw.
