Sasha Banks has taken to social media following reports that an injury may have taken place at a live event. As reported by PWInsider, The Boss was wrestling Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at a live event in Fayetteville, North Carolina on January 2nd. PWInsider has provided the following details regarding the match:
PWInsider.com is told that while taking an over the knee backbreaker, Banks’ left leg was planted awkwardly as she took the bump and hit the mat. Banks kicked out of a pinfall but then stayed on the mat, where the referee checked her out. They continued but quickly went to a finish after several more spots, with Flair retaining the Smackdown Women’s Championship after hitting Natural Selection. Banks was assisted out of the ring by WWE officials. We are told she was being checked out but there is no official word on the issue as of this writing.

Sasha Banks has since provided an update on her Twitter page. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion has confirmed that there is no injury and has thanked the fans for the support.
