The Raw men’s Survivor Series team has been changed for a second time. As a result of the events that took place on the November 15th edition of Monday Night Raw, Austin Theory has replaced Rey Mysterio and will now be a part of team Raw on Sunday November 21st.
On the November 8th Raw, WWE Official Adam Pearce confronted both Rey and Dominik Mysterio, and stated that the initial team announcement on social media may have been premature. Pearce also stated that he wanted team Raw to be victorious at Survivor Series. As a result, Dominik would remain on the team but only if he could defeat a mystery opponent, which was revealed to be Bobby Lashley. The former WWE Champion squashed Dominik Mysterio to become part of team Raw.
Looking for revenge, Rey Mysterio faced Bobby Lashley in the main event of the go-home edition of Monday Night Raw. Lashley defeated Mysterio and left Rey motionless in the ring. Adam Pearce, who was watching on a monitor backstage, announced that Rey was removed from team Raw. Austin Theory came to the ring shortly after the announcement and attacked Dominik Mysterio, who was tending to his father’s injuries. Pearce then quickly announced that Theory would be the replacement for Mysterio. Raw went off the air with the newest member of team Raw taking selfies with the injured Rey Mysterio.
The updated team Raw comprising of Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory will be facing team SmackDown at Survivor Series in an elimination match. Currently representing team SmackDown is Jeff Hardy, King Woods, Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin and one member to be announced.
