The October 15th edition of AEW Rampage will be broadcast live from the James L Knight Center in Miami, Florida. This will be the first time in a number of weeks that the show will be airing live. In recent weeks, the tapings for Rampage have taken place following Wednesday night Dynamite. However, AEW’s flagship show has seen a scheduling conflict with TNT, therefore will be airing on Saturday October 16th.
This edition of Rampage is a historic one due to an announcement by WWE. As the October 15th edition of SmackDown has been marketed as a super-sized edition, the blue brand will run 30 minutes longer than usual. This means that the extra half hour will be running alongside AEW Rampage. The result is that this is the first time that main roster WWE and AEW have been on television at the same time.
To seemingly counter the move by WWE, All Elite Wrestling have extended their broadcast with a buy in announced for Rampage, which will air on AEW’s YouTube channel. One of the matches announced earlier in the week for the buy in was the dream match between Bryan Danielson and Minoru Suzuki.
The following matches have been announced to take place on the buy in and main show for AEW Rampage:
The buy in:
- Bryan Danielson vs. Minoru Suzuki
- Bobby Fish vs. Lee Moriarty
- Tay Conti vs. Santana Garrett
AEW Rampage main show:
- CM Punk vs. Matt Sydal
- Ruby Soho vs. The Bunny
- The Inner Circle [Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara] vs. Men of the Year [Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page] and Junior dos Santos
