The August 31st episode of NXT will see the return of Ilja Dragunov to the Capitol Wrestling Center following his victory at NXT TakeOver 36. Dragunov defeated WALTER in a very physical match to dethrone The Ring General and become the new WWE United Kingdom Champion. NXT has also announced that 4 matches are scheduled to take place on the show.
The following matches and segments will be taking place on the show:
- Ilja Dragunov returns to NXT.
- LA Knight vs. Johnny Gargano.
- Kyle O’Reilly vs. Duke Hudson.
- Ikemen Jiro vs. Roderick Strong.
- Tommaso Ciampa vs. Ridge Holland.
Also expect a new look and presentation to NXT to begin on the show. A new logo and theme song has recently been revealed on social media. The new look appears to be gradually veering away from more grungy look that fans are used to.
