NXT have unveiled a new logo and theme song, following reports that WWE’s third brand is getting a new look. The logo is more striking and more colourful than the previous logo, which was known for being black and gold.
The first reveal came from rap star Wale, who tweeted the new logo along with moving graphics and music:
The music used is the song ‘Down South’ by Wale, which will be the new theme song for the show moving forward. The new look and song is a stark contrast from what the NXT audience have been used to. NXT has traditionally been a heavy metal themed vibe on the show, with Slipknot providing the previous theme. Metal bands such as Code Orange have also performed live on TakeOver events:
The new image follows the recent quotes from WWE’s Nick Khan, who recently stated in an interview that an NXT revamp was incoming.
On the August 27th edition of SmackDown, a video featuring the new logo and music was played to promote the new-look NXT. WWE’s Instagram has also confirmed the new look:
