CM Punk and Roman Reigns brought WWE WrestleMania 42 to a close by main eventing night 2 of the event in Las Vegas.
Following the newsworthy night 1, which saw Paige return to WWE, multiple title changes and Bianca Belair announce her pregnancy, night 2 saw Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship, Reigns’ first title match in 2 years. This was also the first time that the new iteration of the World Heavyweight Championship has been defended in the WrestleMania main event.
Additionally, Brock Lesnar faced Oba Femi in a first-time ever clash, and Jade Cargill defended her Women’s Championship against Women’s Elimination Chamber winner Rhea Ripley.
John Cena was the host for the show. Michael Cole and Wade Barrett were on commentary, with Alicia Taylor serving as the ring announcer.
The announced attendance for night 2 was 55,256. The weekend total was 106,072.
