WWE are continuing the New Year’s Day celebrations.
With the company putting out press releases throughout 2023 that each respective Premium Live Event was the most successful ever it should come as no surprise that the previous year was the biggest in company history.
Acknowledging the landmark 12 months in WWE, Triple H took to social media to list multiple accolades achieved by the promotion in 2023, which included new records broken in terms of finances, social media engagement and viewership:
The biggest year in @WWE history. EVER. This is just a glimpse of everything that WWE staff, crew and talent accomplished in 2023. And none of it is possible without the @WWEUniverse. Here’s to 2023. Here we go, 2024…

2023 really was a year like no other in professional wrestling. On top of just about every record being broken and multiple big shows taking place internationally, some of the top headlines included the company being sold to Endeavor and merging with the UFC, The Rock making a surprise appearance on SmackDown and CM Punk making a shock return at Survivor Series following his firing from AEW. At the start of the year, fans would have found it hard to believe that just one of these things would come true, never mind all 3!
WWE Looks To Beat Their Records In 2024
With no signs of slowing down, the promotion is gearing up for a very newsworthy year in more ways than one. All eyes will be on Philadelphia in April as the company will present WrestleMania 40. With this being the first Mania under Endeavor ownership and a landmark event, expect something to remember for years to come.
Arguably the biggest story to look out for in 2024 will be rights for TV and talent. With SmackDown and NXT media rights finalised, the future of Raw still remains uncertain. Additionally, with many top stars’ contracts reportedly expiring in 2024, expect major negotiations to be taking place throughout the year.
