WWE To Hold PLE In Italy In 2026

WWE is set to hold at least 2 international Premium Live Events in 2026 as a show in Italy looks set to be announced.

As reported by Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, the Italian show is currently pencilled in for Sunday, May 31, which would also be the first show following WrestleMania 42. It is also noted that while previous iterations of the first show after Mania have been called Backlash, the show in Italy may not have this name.

The promotion has already announced an overseas show for next year, as the 2026 Royal Rumble will air live from Saudi Arabia at the end of January. The past few years have seen the company continually hold TV tapings and PLEs overseas, with shows taking place in Australia, the UK, France and Germany.

WWE Returns To Italy In 2026

The report follows a SmackDown taping that took place in Bologna back in March 2025. The main event of the show saw CM Punk, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns all under one roof as part of the build to their WrestleMania 41 match. Punk requested that Paul Heyman would be in his corner for the show, which Heyman agreed to, much to the shock of Reigns.

Company President Nick Khan previously stated in an interview that an Italian show was very much on the cards, and a deal was close to being finalised.
