The go-home edition of the Friday night show saw big matches to hype up the Premium Live Event including a dumpster match and a 3 way ladder match for the Tag Team Championships. Additionally, AJ Styles returned for the first time since losing to Cody Rhodes back at Clash at the Castle.
Airing live from Nashville, Tennessee, Michael Cole and Corey Graves were the commentary team for the evening.
The Following Results Took Place On WWE SmackDown:
- AJ Styles returned to open the show before being quickly interrupted by Carmelo Hayes. Hayes made fun of AJ and called him old timer and a quitter before declaring that he would be the next US Champion. Styles warned him against Knight, who interrupted the segment. Eventually a match was made between Styles and Hayes.
- Hayes vs. Styles ended abruptly as AJ Styles looked to have suffered an injury
- Michin defeated Chelsea Green in a dumpster match
- Bayley called out Nia Jax and the two exchanged words and led to a brief scuffle and Tiffany Stratton teasing a cash-in
- Naomi and Tiffany Stratton competed in their match with Naomi being victorious
- The Bloodline defeated DIY and The Street Profits in a 3 way ladder match to retain the Tag Team Championships
In other news, a current WWE Champion has broken an all-time record.
