A face-to-face confrontation, a heel turn explained and more took place on the October 31 edition of WWE SmackDown.
On the October 24 episode of the show, Jade Cargill turned heel for the first time in her career as she attacked WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, leading to a title match between the two being announced for the following month. Cargill appeared live on the show to explain why she attacked Stratton.
Additionally, Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre met face-to-face prior to their title match, and Alexa Bliss faced off against Nia Jax.
This was also the final episode of SmackDown before the latest Saturday Night’s Event on November 1.
WWE SmackDown Results October 31:
- Tiffany Stratton made her way to the ring and demanded Jade Cargill come face her. Nick Aldis interrupted and said that the doctors hadn’t cleared Cargill yet, prompting Cargill to taunt Stratton as security kept them apart.
- Ilja Dragunov defeated Nathan Frazer to retain the United States Championship.
- Carmelo Hayes defeated Kit Wilson.
- Alexa Bliss defeated Nia Jax.
- The MFTs defeated Motor City Machine Guns. Rey Fenix and Nakamura tried to help after the match, but were also taken out.
- Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes met for their contract signing in the main event. McIntyre claimed that the contract was lopsided and he wanted it on his terms, which Aldis first attempted to take the match away from him, promptingMcIntyre to call his bluff. Rhodes agreed to the terms, which were if he were to get counted out or disqualified then McIntyre could win the championship. McIntyre sent Rhodes though the table to stand tall at the end of the show.
