John Cena and Cody Rhodes in the same arena, Bianca Belair returned and more took place on WWE SmackDown.
At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cody Rhodes made his return for the first time since WrestleMania. After saving Jey Uso from a Logan Paul and John Cena attack, The American Nightmare laid down the challenge for a match at Money in the Bank, which was later made official.
Additionally, Knoxville’s own Bianca Belair made her return to TV after being absent since WrestleMania and more Money in the Bank qualifier matches took place.
Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett were on commentary for the show.
The Following Results Took Place On WWE SmackDown:
- Bianca Belair kicked off the show. The EST hyped up the crowd before being interrupted by Naomi. Naomi asked for forgiveness from Belair for what happened before revealing that she broke into Belair’s parents’ house and looked through her photos. Naomi threatened Belair before Jade Cargill interrupted.
- Naomi defeated Jade Cargill and Nia Jax to qualify for Money in the Bank.
- JC Mateo defeated R-Truth. Jimmy Uso attempted to make the save after the match but was also attacked.
- The top tag teams spoke in the ring before being attacked by The Wyatt Sicks.
- Los Garzas defeated Je’Von Evans and Fenix.
- Zelina Vega defeated Alba Fyre.
- Damian Priest spoke about his victory over Drew McIntyre and implied he was going after Jacob Fatu and the US Title next.
- Andrade defeated Carmelo Hayes and Jacob Fatu to qualify for Money in the Bank.
- Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, John Cena and Logan Paul all met in the ring. A brawl ensued and the babyfaces stood tall to close out the show.
