The ratings for the final episode of SmackDown before Payback have been published.
As reported by Wrestlenomics, the September 1st show dew an average audience of 2.443 million and obtained an 18-49 rating of 0.65.

SmackDown has seen a drop in viewers compared to the previous week. With the August 25th Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk tribute episode drawing an average audience of 2.647 million, the drop calculates to approximately 7.7%.
SmackDown also saw a drop in key demo viewership as the August 25th episode drew an average rating of 0.78.
The show presented the final build to Payback and announced that John Cena would be the guest host.
