Becky Lynch will challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship.
Lynch appeared on the big screen during the September 5th episode after NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton successfully defended the title against Kiana James.
Lynch congratulated Stratton for the victory before referencing that she has never been NXT Women’s Champion. The Man then declared that she would be coming to NXT on September 12th and will compete for the title.
Lynch has responded to Stratton as the NXT Women’s Champion has clearly got her attention. Stratton cut a promo on an earlier episode of NXT where she said that she would be the greatest NXT Women’s Champion of all time, even better than Becky Lynch.
Stratton made the journey to Payback to meet with Lynch after The Man defeated Trish Stratus in a steel cage match in the opening match of the show. Stratton came to apologise to Lynch for the mistake in her promo as Lynch has never actually been Women’s Champion.
As Becky Lynch has won every other championship in WWE, she looks to add the NXT title to her resume on September 12th.
