The fallout from Saturday Night’s Main Event continues and more on the December 19 edition of WWE SmackDown.
At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Oba Femi vs. Cody Rhodes went to a no-contest when Drew McIntyre interfered, causing a double DQ. Following an angle that aired on social media, which saw McIntyre and Rhodes brawl at McIntyre’s home, it was agreed that McIntyre would be granted a future WWE Championship opportunity. Expect this to be addressed on the show.
As this is the first episode of SmackDown since John Cena retired, expect to see more highlights from the final match on the show.
WWE will also be pre-taping the December 22 Raw in advance to give the talent and staff an extended break for the holiday season.
