The fallout from the latest SummerSlam and more is set to take place on the August 7 WWE SmackDown.
A newsworthy SummerSlam saw Kevin Owens return from injury on night 2 and win a 4-way match. Due to the terms of the stipulation, KO is now the new number one contender to the WWE Championship, which is currently held by CM Punk. The champion and challenger will meet face-to-face on the show to set up their future title match.
Also at SummerSlam, Chelsea Green climbed to the top of the ladder to become the new Interim Women’s Champion. It has since been announced that Green will be appearing live to celebrate the biggest win of her career on the show.
Following his loss to Gunther at SummerSlam, Nick Aldis has since been reinstated as the General Manager of the show. Aldis will liely reume hi duties as the blue brand’s authority figure.
The only match announced for the show will see Charlotte Flair face Jade Cargill.
