With WrestleMania and WWE SummerSlam now two-night shows annually, could the Royal Rumble be next?
As the Rumble is one of the coveted Big 4 WWE shows on the calendar, it has long been speculated that it will eventually expand to two nights. If this were the case, it would be likely that each night would be headlined by one of the Rumble matches, as Men’s and Women’s Rumbles are now a staple of the event.
As reported by WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE is said to be “seriously considering” expanding the show to a full weekend, with some believing that it would be the direction this year. However, the plan as of right now is to have the show remain one night, but this could be the final time this is the case.
WWE Royal Rumble 2027 Not Set To Be Two-Night Show
It was recently confirmed that the 2027 Royal Rumble would take place at the State Farm Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. While no specific date or dates have been announced, the show will once again take place in February.
The 2026 Royal Rumble aired live from Saudi Arabia, marking the first time the event had been held outside of North America. The men’s and women’s matches were won by Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan, respectively. Both went on to win championships at WrestleMania 42 later in the year.
