WWE SmackDown Preview August 22

WWE SmackDown makes its debut in Dublin on August 22 in what will be the first episode of the blue brand to be broadcast live in Dublin.

Kicking off the latest European tour, which will culminate at Clash in Paris on August 31, SmackDown will air live from the capital city. Marking the occasion, John Cena will make his latest appearance on the retirement tour. With Cena set to take on Logan Paul at Clash in Paris, the 17-time World Champion will speak about his upcoming match in what looks set to be the start of his final run in Europe as a WWE star.

On the August 15 SmackDown, Carmelo Hayes and The Miz picked up a victory over Fraxiom. Looking to continue their strong momentum, Melo and Miz will be in action against former Tag Team Champions the Motor City Machine Guns as Miz hopes to win back the Tag Team Championships.

With R-Truth and Aleister Black continuing to be at odds, both men will also look to settle their differences on the show.

It should be noted that Cody Rhodes has also been advertised for the show on the events page, but no match or segment has been announced at the time of writing.

  • Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. Melo Don’t Miz (Carmelo Hayes & The Miz)
  • Charlotte Flair vs. Piper Niven
  • The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) vs. Two MFTs

SmackDown will air live on Netflix internationally at 8 pm local time, but fans in the Uited States will have to wait until 8 pm their time to catch the show on the USA Network.
