Despite the fact that some fans would love to see it, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker has categorically stated that there is no chance of a return match.
The Phenom competed one final time back in 2020 with a victory over AJ Styles in the Boneyard match at WrestleMania 36. Securing a victory over The Phenomenal One, Undertaker then got on his motorcycle and rode off into the night, bringing the final chapter in his legendary career to an end.
While wrestling retirements have become somewhat of a punchline over the years with many “retired” wrestlers unable to stay away from the spotlight, the Hall of Famer has kept true to his word more than 5 years on from his previous encounter. However, as Ted DiBiase famously said, “Every man has got a price.” Although another Undertaker match has the potential to draw out of curiosity alone, The Phenom has maintained that it won’t happen.
Speaking with Bubba Ray Dudley on his Six Feet Under podcast, Undertaker was first asked if there was any amount of money that would make him want to get back into the ring, to which The Deadman bluntly said, “No.” Elaborating further, the Hall of Famer stated that he didn’t want to jeopardise his legacy, admitting that he has nothing left to give inside the ring:
“No. I don’t think…look, the only way that I could put the hat and the coat back on is I’d have to get back in the ring. And I can’t do that because that also jeopardizes the legacy. As much as I have here [points to head] and as much as I have here [points to heart], I know that there’s not enough left in the tank to do that.”
The Undertaker Recently Made WWE Return On NXT
Although there is no chance that the Hall of Famer will have another match again, he has gotten physical on TV since his retirement, most recently on the July 15 episode of NXT by attacking TNA World Champion Trick Williams. Following the divisive segment, The Undertaker gave his thoughts on Trick Williams’ future.
