The June 25th episode of Friday Night SmackDown will be significant for two reasons. Firstly, the show is the first edition of the blue brand since Hell in A Cell the previous Sunday. This will mean that the fallout from the pay per view and the previous edition of SmackDown will be addressed. This will include Roman Reigns retaining his Universal Championship against Rey Mysterio in the first ever Hell in A Cell match on SmackDown.
Secondly, the build will start for the blue brand towards the next pay per view, Money in the Bank. The June 21st edition of Monday Night RAW saw multiple matches confirmed for the event on July 18th. As RAW saw multiple qualifying matches for both ladder matches, expect SmackDown to do the same.
Here is everything that has been announced for the show:
- Roman Reigns will hold a championship victory celebration. The Universal Champion retained his title in the first ever Hell in A Cell match to take place on SmackDown. Reigns was victorious in his match against challenger Rey Mysterio.
- Cesaro and Bianca Belair vs. Seth Rollins and Bayley – Mixed tag team match.
