WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event returned on December 14th.
Airing live from the Nassau Coliseum in New York, the site of the first-ever show in 1985, Saturday Night’s Main Event turned the clock back with vintage graphics, themes and set to pay homage to the first iterations of the event. To further add to the nostalgia, Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura made his return to the show and served as a special guest commentator for numerous matches.
The show was main evented by Cody Rhodes, who put his Undisputed Championship on the line against Kevin Owens and hoped to put an end to KO’s recent rampage. Additionally, Liv Morgan put the Women’s World Championship on the line against Iyo Sky and Gunther defended the World Heavyweight Championship in a triple threat match.
