Brock Lesnar returned, the final build to Saturday Night’s Main Event and more took place on the May 18 WWE Raw.
Following his loss to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42, Brock Lesnar removed his gloves and boots, indicating that he had brought his in-ring career to an end. However, the former World Champion made his return on the show looking for revenge on The Ruler.
Additionally, the Women’s Tag Team Championships were on the line, and more matches were added to the Saturday Night’s Main Event special, which is scheduled for May 23.
Michael Cole and Corey Graves were on commentary for the show. Alicia Taylor was the ring announcer.
WWE Raw Results May 18:
- Following a recap of the Jacob Fatu and Roman Reigns chaos from the previous week, Reigns was seen arriving in the arena. Adam Pearce attempted to stop Reigns, but Fatu made his entrance. Fatu called out Reigns, but The Usos interrupted. A brawl ensued, with Reigns later coming to The Usos’ aid. The beatdown continued with The Bloodline standing tall. Fatu challenged Reigns to Tribal Combat. Reigns accepted.
- Finn Balor defeated JD McDonagh in a street fight.
- Sol Ruca called out Becky Lynch. Following an exchange of insults, a match between the 2 was set for Saturday Night’s Main Event. Lynch’s Intercontinental Championship won’t be on the line.
- Americano, Bravo and Rayo defeated OG Americano, Bruto, and Julio
- LA Knight interrupted Tehe Usos backstage, which was Knight’s first appearance in a month.
- Michael Cole interviewed Ethan Page ahead of his Intercontinental Championship match with Penta at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Page vowed to win the title on Saturday.
- Paige and Brie Bella defeated Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez to retain the Women’s Tag Team Championships.
- Oba Femi arrived for his open challenge, but was attacked by Brock Lesnar. Lesnar hit Femi with 4 F5’s. Backstage, Paul Heyman handed Pearce a contract for a rematch between Lesnar and Femi for Clash in Italy.
- Seth Rollins defeated Austin Theory. Rollins was attacked by Theory and Logan Paul after the match, leading to The Street Profits making the save. Bron Breakker arrived and speared Montez Ford, and later Seth Rollins.
