Brock Lesnar picked right back up from where he left off with his return on WWE Raw.
During the May 18 Raw, Oba Femi made his entrance for the latest open challenge. However, Femi was attacked during his entrance by Lesnar. The 10-time World Champion hit The Ruler with 4 F5s before exiting the ring.
Backstage, Paul Heyman informed Raw General Manager Adam Pearce that he had a contract for Clash In Italy. Heyman added that the contract already had Lesnar’s signature, and that he only needed Femi’s to make it official. Heyman claimed that it would be the biggest rematch in history before exiting Pearce’s office.
The match has not been made official for the May 31 Premium Live Event at the time of writing, but it will be confirmed on the go-home show on May 25.
Brock Lesnar Makes First WWE Appearance On Raw Following WrestleMania Loss
Lesnar was last seen at WrestleMania 42. Competing in the opening match of night 2, Lesnar lost to Femi in under 5 minutes. After the match, Lesnar took off his gloves and boots, seemingly indicating that he had brought his in-ring career to an end.
An emotional Lesnar embraced Heyman as they both made their way to the back. While WWE appeared to show Lesnar had retired, follow-up reports noted that Lesnar was likely to return to the ring.
It has been heavily speculated that SummerSlam in Lesnar’s home state of Minnesota will be where The Beast has his final match.
