WWE Raw Results June 16: Goldberg Returns And More

King and Queen of the matches continued, Goldberg made his return to WWE and more took place on the June 16 WWE Raw.

With 1 semi-final spot left in each of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, 8 stars looked to advance in the next round. Sheamus, Bronson Reed, Rusev and surprise entrant Jey Uso fought in the King of the Ring tournament while a returning Asuka, Stephanie Vaquer, Ivy Nile and Raquel Rodriguez faced off in the Queen of the Ring tournament.

Additionally, Bayley confronted Becky Lynch one week on from her return and the new World Heavyweight Champion Gunther appeared live. However, things did not go entirely to plan for The Ring General as Goldberg made his much-anticipated return.

Michael Cole and Corey Graves were on commentary for the show.

WWE Raw Results June 16:

  • Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio officially kicked off the show. Morgan referenced her attack on Nikki Bella last week and called out Women’s World Champion IYO SKY, who interrupted Morgan. A brawl ensued with SKY standing tall.
  • Asuka defeated Ivy Nile, Raquel Rodriguez and Stephanie Vaquer to advance in the Queen of the Ring tournament.
  • Gunther appeared live and spoke about his victory. The crowd chanted for Goldberg and the Hall of Famer interrupted. Goldberg stated that he would be challenging Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12th.
  • AJ Styles defeated JD McDonagh.
  • Bayley spoke about her return and being taken out before WrestleMania. Becky Lynch interrupted and a match between Bayley and Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship was set up for next week.
  • Liv Morgan vs. Kairi Sane ended in a no contest as Morgan suffered an injury. It was later announced that Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder.
  • Jey Uso defeated Sheamus, Bronson Reed and Rusev to advance in the King of the Ring tournament. Rollins tried to attack Uso after the match but Rhodes made the save. Uso and Rhodes stared each other down to close out the show.
