Raised in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, Gionna Jene Daddio discovered wrestling from a young age, Like many wannabe wrestlers, the future Liv Morgan did backyard wrestling with her siblings at a younger age, often imitating her idol Lita.

A former cheerleader and Hooters girl, Morgan became known on WWE’s radar after being recommended to Joe DeFranco, who is also Triple H’s strength and conditioning coach, by a wrestler who visited the restaurant.

Signed to NXT in 2014, Morgan was first seen by fans as a crazed audience member who jumped Tyler Breeze upon his entrance. Morgan made her in-ring debut in late 2015, losing to Eva Marie while competing under the name of Marley. Rebranded as Liv Morgan the following month, the NXT star competed sporadically against the likes of Bayley, Nia Jax and Emma while also being a regular at live events.

Called up to the main roster in 2017, Morgan, Sarah Logan and Ruby Riott introduced themselves a The Riott Squad, a heel faction designed to cause disruption and use the numbers game to their advantage. Making her Mania debut in 2018, Morgan was one of the entrants in the Women’s Battle Royal. A part of the first all-women’s pay-per-view Evolution, The Riott Squad lost to Natalya, Bayley and Sasha Banks.

Shortly after WrestleMania 35, Morgan was drafted away from Riott and Logan, bringing the group time together to an end. Making her return on Raw in a big way, Morgan interrupted the wedding between Bobby Lashley and Lana to declare her love for Lana, an angle which was dropped and never explained again.

Later forming an alliance with Rhea Ripley, both women challenged for the Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 38, but were unsuccessful. After failing to win the Women’s Money in the Bank contract in the inaugural match, Morgan had better luck in 2022 when she won the briefcase. Wasting little time, Morgan cashed in the contract later that night to defeat Ronda Rousey and win the Women’s Championship, her first title in WWE. Losing the title back to Rousey, Morgan went on to form an alliance with Raquel Rodriguez, where they would win the Women’s Tag Team Championships, their first of 4 reigns together.

After being sidelined with injury in 2023, Morgan made her return in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match. Shortly after WrestleMania 40, Morgan kicked off her revenge tour, which saw her target Rhea Ripley and look to take everything away from her former tag partner. Beginning by injuring Ripley, Morgan went on to become Women’s Champion for a second time after defeating Becky Lynch at King and Queen of the Ring and then went after Dominik Mysterio. Joining The Judgment Day, Morgan helped other members find success over the next year while also continuing her feud with Ripley, who returned shortly before SummerSlam. With Dominik Mysterio left with a choice, Dom ultimately chose Morgan to the shock of the fans and Ripley.

Losing the title back to Ripley on the Raw on Netflix premiere, Morgan and Rodriguez went on to win the Women’s Tag Team Championships by defeating Bianca Belair and Naomi. Although they lost the titles to Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria at WrestleMania 41, the duo won their titles back the next night on Raw.

Heading into Evolution, Morgan looks set to face Nikki Bella, either one on one or with Rodriguez against The Bella Twins.
