Joe Hendry performed live, Roman Reigns responded to Jacob Fatu’s challenge and more took place on the April 27 WWE Raw.
Former NXT Champion Ethan Page was called up to Raw on the first show after WrestleMania. Later in the show, it was announced that Joe Hendry would also be joining the Raw brand moving forward, and would also perform one of his signature concerts on the show.
Additionally, new World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns met with Jacob Fatu once more after The Samoan Werewolf challenged The OTC the previous week.
Michael Cole and Corey Graves were on commentary for the show.
WWE Raw Results April 27:
- Following a recap of the Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu confrontation from the previous week, a video played of Reigns and The Usos. Reigns questioned why Fatu wanted to take the title from him, to which Jimmy Uso responded that he understood Fatu’s motivation. Jey warned Reigns that Fatu is unpredictable.
- Seth Rollins officially kicked off the show and called out Bron Breakker. Breakker responded to the call. Rollins said that he gave Breakker everything, but was repaid with nothing but problems. Rollins questioned how it benefited Breakker, with Breakker responding that Rollins gave him nothing. Rollins spoke about his history and how Rollins faced Breakker in NXT and was convinced by Paul Heyman to join The Vision. Rollins also said that Breakker wasn’t ready, and a match between the two for Backlash was later made official.
- Penta defeated Rusev. Penta was attacked by Rusev and Ethan Page after the bell, but Je’Von Evans made the save.
- Becky Lynch appeared live and issued an open challenge, which was answered by IYO SKY. Adam Pearce made the match official.
- Becky Lych defeated IYO SKY to retain the Women’s Intercontinental Championship after Asuka interfered. Asuka locked SKY in the Asuka lock, and a match between the two was later made official for Backlash.
- Joe Hendry performed his concert, where he joked that Logan Paul should be fired. Paul and Austin Theory interrupted and beat down Hendry, leading to The Street Profits making the save.
- Rey Mysterio defeated the new El Grande Americano after the OG Americano interfered to prevent cheating.
- Oba Femi defeated Grayson Waller.
- Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Bayley and Lyra Valkyria thanks to interference by Liv Morgan.
- Roman Reigns responded to Jacob Fatu’s challenge from the previous week. Reigns hoped that Fatu would make the right decision. Reigns called Fatu unhinged, which led to Fatu locking in the Togan Death grip onto Reigns. The match was later made official for Backlash.
