The road to WrestleMania 42 enters its final stretch beginning on the March 2 WWE Raw.
Now that Elimination Chamber has come and gone, all the build is focused on WrestleMania 42, which is set to take place in 5 weeks. At Elimination Chamber, CM Punk successfully retained his World Heavyweight Championship over Finn Balor, meaning that he will compete against Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania. Reigns is scheduled to appear live on Raw, and CM Punk is expected to once again stand face to face with his next challenger.
In what was a busy night for Raw at Elimination Chamber, AJ Lee defeated Becky Lynch to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, Rhea Ripley won the Women’s Elimination Chamber, and Danhausen made his WWE debut. With Lynch irate at the loss, expect to hear form The Man on the show, likely to also protest at referee Jessika Carr, who caused Lynch to lose her title. In regard to Ripley, the former Women’s Champion is set to face Jade Cargill at WrestleMania for the WWE Women’s Championship. Expect to hear from Ripley on the show.
Other matches announced for the show will see Dominik Mysterio defend his Intercontinental Championship against Penta, and Gunther will face Dragon Lee after the two brawled the previous week.
