The fallout from SummerSlam, a rubber match and more have been announced for the August 4 WWE Raw.
August 2 and 3 saw the first-ever 2 night SummerSlam take place in New Jersey. Multiple title matches took place accross the weekend as Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss became the new Women’s Tag Team Champions and CM Punk defeated Gunther to become the new World Champion. However, Punk’s night did not end the way he had intended, as Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to end Punk’s reign at just over 5 minutes.
On night 2, Cody Rhodes dethroned John Cena to become the new Undisputed Champion in the main event, but was shockingly attacked by a returning Brock Lesnar to close out the show. While not yet announced, there is a strong possibility that Lesnar could make his first Raw appearance in over a year tonight.
With a newsworthy SummerSlam dominating the weekend, the August 4 Raw will heavily focus on the fallout from the Premium Live Event and begin the build to next show, Clash in Paris at the end of the month.
At the time of writing, the only match announced for the show is the third meeting between Sheamus and Rusev since The Bulgarian Brute made his return to the company back in April. With both men having a win apiece, this match will be the decider.
