WWE Clash in Italy will mark the first time that the company will host a major show in the country.
Set to emanate from Turin, the top 2 titles will be on the line, along with major rematches from WrestleMania. With Gunther looking to earn a top title again, The Ring General will challenge Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship in what will likely be the main event. Set to open the show, Roman Reigns will once again defend his World Heavyweight Championship, this time in Tribal Combat.
After slaying The Beast at WrestleMania, Oba Femi is set to face Brock Lesnar one more time after Lesnar attacked Femi on Raw.
WWE Clash In Italy Predictions
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Sol Ruca For The Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Sol Ruca has not exactly had the best call-up to the main roster. With multiple Sol Snatchers not going to plan, losses from the outset and a DQ finish at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the former NXT star needs a big win soon. With this in mind, there is a very strong chance that Ruca could win her first main roster championship here, hopefully retconning what has happened so far. That being said, there is also a chance that Lynch could win via nefarious means to set up the stipulation rematch. In terms of the winner, Ruca feels more likely here.
Winner: Sol Ruca
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Gunther For The WWE Championship
Much like Ruca, Gunther needs another major win to reestablish his momentum. The Ring General has felt lost since his win over AJ Styles at Royal Rumble, and is set to be the career killer. If Gunther wins here, there is a strong chance that the much rumoured Brock Lesnar match at SummerSlam could be title vs. career. Rhodes can continue his feud with Orton, which does not need the title to be involved.
Winner: Gunther
Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar
There is a strong case for this match to go either way. On one hand, Lesnar could win this one to set up the rubber match down the road, possibly in Saudi Arabia. However, Femi could also get the win to establish he is the new dominant force in WWE. With WWE being predictable more often than not, a Lesnar victory feels like the more likely choice.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Jade Cargill For The WWE Women’s Championship
This feels like a lock for Ripley to win this one. Mami has only just won the title, and this will tie up the feud so that both women can move on to whatever is next. Additionally, Ripley needs that match with IYO SKY down the road. B-Fab, Michin, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will all get involved, but Ripley will be on top.
Winner: Rhea Ripley
Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu – Tribal Combat For The World Heavyweight Championship
This match is set to open the show, which means that a title change is unlikely. While Fatu has ben an unstoppable force on TV, things will be different at the PLE. Expect to see The Usos get involved and there to be a lot of big spots. But this is still early in the reign of The OTC.
Winner: Roman Reigns
