WWE has confirmed that the 2024 Draft will be taking place very soon.
Following on from a marquee WrestleMania on April 6th and 7th, WWE continued their new era on the famous Raw after WrestleMania on April 8th. With new champions and NXT Superstars ready to be called up, the company looks to shake things up once again.
As was confirmed on the show, 2 Draft shows will take place later in April, with the dates and venues being as follows:
- Friday, April 26: WWE Draft night one – SmackDown from Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio
- Monday April 29: WWE Draft night two – Raw from T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri
No additional details have been provided at the time of writing. However, previous years have seen 2 separate pools for each night and the brands alternate their picks for each respective star.
Top NXT Star Confirmed For WWE Draft
Although there were no official call-ups on the Raw after Mania, the top NXT Champions competed in matches on the show as NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov defeated Shinsuke Nakamura and NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez defeated Indi Hartwell. It was also confirmed in the show that Dragunov will be available to be drafted on the upcoming shows.
