WWE 2K26 Special Edition And Pre-Order Date Announced

WWE 2K26 Special Edition And Pre-Order Date Announced

The first details for WWE 2K26 have been announced, as information has been provided on one of the special editions.

On January 23, 2K Games announced that an Attitude Era edition will be coming later in the year. A trailer was also released featuring the biggest stars from that era such as Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, Lita and Trish Stratus. A trailer was also released on social media to promote the game.

One of the most successful eras in WWE history from both a financial and ratings standpoint, The Attitude Era saw the company develop a more edgy product to combat the competition from WCW Nitro, which aired head-to-head with Raw on Monday nights. With more adult-oriented storylines, profanity and a rebellious theme, the show garnered mass appeal to the worldwide fanbase. Many fans still look back fondly on The Attitude Era more than 20 years after it ended, as they are not fans of the current PG era of programming.

Details on the standard edition of the game is expected over the next couple of weeks. Over the past few years, multiple special editions of the WWE 2K game have been released with more features and stars compared to the base game. WWE 2K25 saw The Bloodline and The Undertaker as deluxe editions of the video game. Roman Reigns was the coverstar of the 2025 game, with the reveal taking place on Raw in late January.

When Will WWE 2K26: Attitude Era Special Edition Be Available?

Although no details were provided on an official release date, the latest instalment of the WWE 2K franchise has typically been released in March to coincide with the WrestleMania hype. Pre-orders for the Attitude Era edition will be open on January 30, the night before the Royal Rumble.

The coverstar for the base game and additional features are expected to be announced soon.
