Will Ospreay made his choice very clear following Kenny Omega successfully defending the AEW World Championship in the main event of Redemption.
Omega picked up the victory over Kevin Knight in the final match of the Montreal pay-per-view, but it was what happened after the match that was the most newsworthy. After the match, The Deathriders assaulted Omega and looked to stomp a chair onto his neck. The Young Bucks tried to make the save, but were taken out. Ospreay then ran to the ring and stopped the attack, and it appeared that The Deathriders were going to stop things there.
However, with Claudio Castagnoli being given the signal to attack Omega, Ospreay stopped the champion from suffering a serious injury. Jon Moxley then handed Ospreay a plastic bag to choke Omega with. Instead, Ospreay tore the bag up and made it clear he was done with The Deathriders. Ospreay fought the group out of the ring and tossed the Deathriders’ kneepad to the outside.
Ospreay and Omega then celebrated, but Omega hit the One Winged Angel on Ospreay. Omega and The Young Bucks posed to bring the show to a close.
Earlier in the night, The Young Bucks defeated Moxley and Ospreay.
