An update has been provided on the return window of Liv Morgan after the WWE star suffered an injury on Raw.
The former Women’s Champion was in a match against Kairi Sane on the June 16 episode of Raw. Seconds into the match, Morgan landed on her shoulder and the match was halted. Coming back from break, it was revealed by commentary that the Raw star was unable to continue and the diagnosis was a separated shoulder.
With Morgan requiring surgery, the former Women’s Champion is set to be out for a number of months. In an update by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Morgan was set to have another medical evaluation on August 11, but was not at the TV taping. It is also added that Morgan is expected to return to the ring in early 2026 if her recovery remains on schedule. If the former Women’s tag Team Champion is set to come back at the start of next year, it is likely that she will make her return in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, similar to what happened in 2024.
Liv Morgan Expected To Handle Judgment Day Business Following Return From Injury
When Morgan does make her return, there will be some issues with The Judgment Day faction that will need to be addressed. As Morgan was reigning as one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champion when the injury occurred, the decision was made to have Roxanne Perez serve as the replacement partner alongside Raquel Rodriguez as opposed to vacating the championships due to injury, which has happened multiple times in the titles’ history.
Although the faction had all the gold when Morgan was sidelined, Perez and Rodriguez have since lost their titles to Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair following a defeat at SummerSlam at the start of the month.
