Roman Reigns is set to make his WWE return soon as plans are reportedly in place behind the scenes to have The Tribal Chief back on TV imminently.
Reigns has been absent from the ring since the Raw after WrestleMania on June 21st. After losing to Seth Rollins in the main event of night 1, which also saw Paul Heyman betray Reigns and Punk, The Head of the Table looked for revenge on his former Shield brother. However, Reigns fell victim to the next stage of Rollins’ plan, which saw Bron Breakker side with The Visionary and take out Reigns and Punk.
With Reigns off TV for more than 2 months, fans are expecting to see the former World Champion back soon. According to a new report, Reigns will be back in time for one of the biggest shows of the year.
Roman Reigns To Make WWE Return By SummerSlam
As reported by WrestleVotes on WrestleVotes Radio, preparations are already underway for the Reigns return, which is expected to be before SummerSlam so that The Tribal Chief can be factored into plans for the August Premium Live Event, which will be expanded to 2 nights for the first time in 2025. It is also noted that there were discussions to have Reigns make his return at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, this does not appear to be the case:
“It’s that time of year again as the return of Roman Reigns is nearing. According to several within the company, the preparation behind the return of the Tribal Chief has begun, including new merchandising and marketing for Roman, who has been off of TV since the night after WrestleMania. Sources indicate that while having Roman work the Saudi PLE was under discussion for some time, Reigns will indeed be back prior to SummerSlam as he’s set to be a main part of that two-night event…We are hearing alternate Tribal Chief monikers are being considered this time around,” WrestleVotes said.
It should be noted that at the time of writing, no reports have indicated that Reigns is in Saudi Arabia, as he has not been spotted in the city of Riyadh.
