Roman Reigns Returns At WWE SummerSlam

Roman Reigns WWE Return

After 118 days away, Roman Reigns is officially back in WWE.

As many expected, Reigns made his return at SummerSlam during the main event of the show, which saw Cody Rhodes defeat Solo Sikoa in another Bloodline Rules match to retain the Undisputed Championship, which The American Nightmare first won at WrestleMania 40.

With interference throughout the Bloodline Rules match, Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga entered the match first before Kevin Owens and Randy Orton neutralised The Guerillas of Destiny. Inevitably, Jacob Fatu was next to make his presence felt and drove Rhodes through the announce table, rendering the Undisputed Champion unconscious. However, despite a splash from Sikoa, Rhodes was still able to kick out. With both men down, the new music of Reigns hit.

Receiving a thunderous ovation from a packed Cleveland Brown Stadium, The Tribal Chief made his way to the ring and immediately attacked Sikoa with a Superman Punch and spear. Giving a nod to Rhodes, Reigns made his exit to allow Rhodes to capitalise and win the match.

What’s Next For Roman Reigns?

Despite Reigns’ last appearance only being back in April, the landscape of WWE has changed massively in the past 4 months. Beginning the night after WrestleMania with Sikoa expelling Jimmy Uso from The Bloodline, The Enforcer created his own group by bringing in Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu. With The Bloodline in turmoil, Roman Reigns’ creative plans moving forward have been seemingly revealed.
