Trick Williams successfully defended the TNA World Championship on NXT and will now advance to Against All Odds for his next title defence.
Competing on the June 3rd episode of NXT, Williams put the title on the line against TNA star Mike Santana in the main event. Thanks to interference from A.J. Francis & K.C. Navarro, who slammed Santana onto the announce table, Williams hit the Trick Shot to win the match and retain the title.
As a result of the victory, Williams will put the World Championship on the line against Elijah, previously known as Elias in WWE, at TNA Against All Odds on June 6th. Elijah was sitting in the front row for the match and saw his guitar smashed by Williams in the closing moments.
The updated line-up for TNA Against All Odds is as follows:
- Trick Williams (c) vs. Elijah – Singles match for the TNA World Championship
- Masha Slamovich (c) vs. Lei Ying Lee – Singles match for the Knockouts Championship
- Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth (c) vs. The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) – Tag team match for the Tag Team Championships
- Steve Maclin (c) vs. Mance Warner – Singles match for the International Championship
- Santino Marella vs. Robert Stone – Winner becomes sole TNA Director of Authority
- Joe Hendry vs. Frankie Kazarian
